The current composer saves a single text post or a thread made from an opener and ordered reply parts. It can also associate up to four generated image paths with the item and enforces a 280-character limit on every text part.
For a thread, the stored images are uploaded with the opening tweet and the remaining parts follow as replies. Xtrovert does not expose separate media controls for each later reply.

Why should you not represent a poll as an ordinary text post?
You should not represent it as a poll because a question with answer options in text does not create X’s native voting interface. Xtrovert has no poll-duration or choice fields in its current post schema, so the dispatcher cannot infer them from copy.
A text question can still invite replies, but label it as a discussion rather than promising a poll. Choose the format based on the interaction you actually need, not on visual similarity in a draft.
Can an unsupported GIF or video be added just before dispatch?
